Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! I haven't been doing too much lately other than lurking... and buying. I've gotten bunches of HDT in the past couple weeks and books. I'm pretty sure I have enough stuff to last until I'm 174 years old, but I still don't have anything to work with. Go figure.

A little pumpkin that I think looks like a peach, tatted in Sherry's 'Autumn Medley' size 20.

Three Hearts: Jon's Heart tatted in Sherry's 'Marina' HDT size 80, Old Fashioned Heart tatted in Flora size 50, and Cloverdrop Heart tatted in 'Berry Burst'HDT size 20. I ran out of the 'Berry Burst' with two rings to go, so I used purple Flora and it was a darn near match!

Lastly, I tatted this for a friend: the Collosians Cross from Tatmom's page. Tatted in DMC color 111, size 80.

Rainbow Bright

I got it! Of course, I had to tat something up as soon as I got it out of the envelope. First up is a spiral from and a pearl tatted star from Kaye B. Judt's book, Oh My Stars!

Pamela definitely has a hit on her hands with this thread. I do believe if she ever decides to discontinue it, she'll have a riot on her hands!

I also want to thank Pamela for contacting me as soon as she had some available and for the little sample of her 'Berry Burst', too. Forever grateful I shall be.

More block tatting practice! This time it was Halloween motifs from Martha's book, Holidays On The Block. The ghost is one of Tatman's designs. I made the picots a smaller so it looks less frilly and did the face in black so it was scarier, kinda like ghosts should be. If you notice, Froggy has lost a finger! That's because some mean ol' witch used it in a potion.

Computer problems!

Arrgh! My desktop has been acting up as of late, so I refurbished an older laptop which is actually nicer than my Dell. Go figure. Now that I have that mostly straightened out, I'll be back this weekend to post some pics of the latest TIAS and my progress with block tatting.

On a side note...

One of my dearest friends, Donna, has decided that it's time I learn how to knit. For whatever reason, I have never been able to figure it out. Well, she's determined that I do figure it out, so we'll see how that goes. Ha!
